With Arrival of Pletcher Duo, All Derby Contenders at Churchill Downs

Monba and Cowboy Cal, trainer Todd Pletcher's exacta duo from the Blue Grass Stakes, arrived at Churchill this morning after galloping a mile and a quarter over the Keeneland track.

"They're both doing very well coming up to Saturday," Pletcher said. "They have been moving forward in their training at Keeneland and this past week was a good one for both of them. We just want to keep them on track these next few days and hope they continue to progress."

Looking toward tonight's post draw, Pletcher said that he doesn't want his horses to be too far inside or too far outside.

Pletcher, who has yet to win a Kentucky Derby, selects 10th with Monba and 15th with Cowboy Cal.
