Big Brown galloped for the first time at Churchill Downs
Barclay Tagg's Tale of Ekati was the lone Derby contender to work this morning, turning in four furlong time of 49.40.
However, as I noted earlier, the major news of the day was Big Brown who galloped today after being followed from the barn-to-track by a large group of reporters, photographers and spectators.
Trainer Dick Dutrow also held court after the gallop with a 10 a.m. press conference in the backside rec-room. Big Brown is expected to gallop tomorrow and work 3 furlongs on Thursday.
